WASHINGTON – Congressman Jeb Hensarling (R-TX), chairman of the House Republican Conference, issued the following statement today condemning the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya by violent protesters which resulted in the killing of four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens.
“Last night’s assault on Americans serving our county in Libya was both tragic and deplorable. My prayers today are with the families and loved ones of Ambassador Stevens and the other brave Americans who honored us with their service. We will not forget the sacrifice they made for the cause of liberty.”
