We discussed the issues affecting our veterans in Nevada. I’m pleased the VFW is supportive of my bill, the Vulnerable Veterans Housing Reform Act, which will help reduce homelessness among veterans. I’m looking forward to working with them to get this bill through the House.

One of the most sobering events of my professional career was responding to Ground Zero on 9-11. Driving up from DC, a knot formed in my stomach when I looked across the river from NJ to the tip of Manhatten and the location where the Trade...Towers used to stand. A chill ran up my spine and I vowed never to forget.
