Visclosky Responds to Loss of National Guard Soldiers from Valparaiso’s 713th Engineer Company

In response to the news of the passing of Specialist Sergio E. Perez of Crown Point and Specialist Nicholas A. Taylor of Berne, Congressman Pete Visclosky released the following statement:

“I am deeply grieved that two more courageous soldiers of Indiana’s National Guard have died in the line of duty in Afghanistan. Their bravery and self-sacrifice are testaments to their loyalty to their fellow soldiers of the 713th Engineer Company and to this great nation. My thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of these two heroes during this difficult time.”
