Congressman Howard “Buck” McKeon issued the following statement regarding the Supreme Court’s decision on the constitutionality of the Arizona immigration law:
“Today’s Supreme Court decision highlights the need for serious solutions to our nation’s overall immigration policy, as well as the severe lack of leadership we have seen from the President. Instead of keeping his promise to lead on producing comprehensive immigration reform, the President has decided to consistently play politics with this critical national issue. Under President Obama, the federal government has failed to meet its responsibilities to provide border security and preserve our nation’s rule of law, forcing states like Arizona to take matters into their own hands. I believe it is imperative that we work together to pursue bi-partisan immigration reform.”
