King Statement on NCTC Director Michael Leiter Resignation

Washington, D.C. (Thursday, June 9, 2011) – Today, U.S. Rep. Peter T. King (R-NY), Chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security, issued the following statement on the resignation of National Counterterrorism Center Director Michael Leiter:   

“Mike Leiter has done a outstanding job at NCTC and has always been a pleasure to work with.  Honorably serving both a Republican President and a Democratic President, Mike has demonstrated his solid commitment to the security of the United States.  I wish him well in whatever he chooses to do next.  It has truly been my privilege to work with Mike Leiter, and I look forward to getting his advice and counsel in the future.”
