Congressman Yoder Announces Service Academy Nominations

                WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Kevin Yoder (R-KS) is pleased to nominate the following Kansans from the 3rd Congressional District to a United States Service Academy.

                “It is an honor to announce the nominations of the following outstanding Kansans from the 3rd Congressional District to a United States Service Academy,” Rep. Yoder said. “The caliber of these nominees is very impressive; our district will be very well represented.   These young men and womenare our future and I wish them well as they seek an appointment to an academy.”

                The 3rd Congressional District’s Academy Nomination Board, appointed by Congressman Yoder, conducted interviews with the applicants and reviewed their applications and test scores.  Twenty-seven students were recommended for nomination.  Now nominated by Congressman Yoder, the applicants must meet the requirements of each U.S. Service Academy.  The academies make the final decision on who receives an appointment of admission.  U.S. Service Academy appointments will be made this spring for the class entering summer 2012.
