“The innovative work happening right here at Applied Sciences Group is supporting efficient production at dozens of other companies across Western New York and benefiting returning veterans across the country,” said Higgins.  “This cutting-edge work has allowed them to expand in the past and provides great opportunities for growth moving forward.”

ASG was recently awarded a $104,000 contract with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to develop technology that allows veterans to better track the delivery of their prescription medications.  They have also created pioneering technology to assist with the collection of data to serve homeless veterans and other programming to provide communication tools for veterans suffering from spinal cord injuries.

Located on Genesee Street in Cheektowaga, ASG began in 1993 with just 3 employees and today supports 40 jobs in Western New York.  The engineering and software development company’s customers include some of the biggest names in manufacturing, defense, life sciences and health care including: Moog, Praxair, New Era, Cobham/Carleton and Smart Pill.  The company expects continued growth, with plans to double their business within the next 5 years.
