Washington, DC – U.S. Rep. John L. Mica (R-FL), Republican Leader of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, will meet with Tampa Bay area leaders and representatives of transportation agencies on Monday, March 8, 2010.
        Rep. Mica, who has spearheaded major Florida and national transportation projects, has invited West Coast leaders to discuss their transportation priorities with him as Congress considers a new national surface transportation authorization bill and other funding proposals.     
        This meeting is a follow up to a previous session with local officials conducted by the Congressman prior to the December passage by the Florida Legislature of major Florida passenger rail legislation.
        Monday’s meeting will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Stetson Law Center, 1700 North Tampa Street, Tampa, Florida.  Public and press are welcome to attend.
