Melbourne, FL – U.S. Rep. John L. Mica (R-Winter Park) today was presented the Award for Legislative Excellence by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM).  This distinction honors the Congressman’s achievements in Congress and recognizes his continued record of strong support for business expansion and job creation.
                    “It was an honor to receive this distinction from the National Association of Manufacturers,” said Rep. Mica.
                    In accepting the award, Mica told the Florida business leaders that the new Congress will focus on regulatory relief which has driven so many jobs in manufacturing overseas.  Mica stated, “The new Congress will target unnecessary federal regulations and mandates and work to eliminate red tape to keep manufacturers from leaving our shores.”
                    This is the 7th time Mica has receive the award from NAM based on his pro-business and pro-manufacturing record.
