Congressman Canseco Honored with Tax Fighter Award
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Francisco “Quico” Canseco (TX-23), a former small business owner and an advocate of pro-growth economic policies, was honored to receive the Tax Fighter Award from the National Tax Limitation Committee. Congressman Canseco received the award for his voting record during the 112th Congress that demonstrated fiscal restraint, a dedication to reducing taxes, and a commitment to protecting taxpayers from wasteful spending.
“I’m honored to receive the Tax Fighter award recognizing my work to protect American families and small businesses from the threat of higher taxes and out of control spending. Getting our fiscal house in order and our economy moving again is of the utmost importance, and I will continue to work hard towards achieving those goals.”
Congressman Canseco has been a strong supporter of legislation like the Small Business Tax Cut Act that would allow small businesses to deduct 20% of their income from taxes, and the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act that helps the economy by giving American entrepreneurs a better opportunity to grow their businesses.
The National Tax Limitation Committee’s mission has been “to engage in educational and research activities which can facilitate structural change, reforms and discipline in government at all levels to assure constitutionally limited government as intended by the Founders of our Nation.”
