Leadership


The NRSC was founded in 1916, as the Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee, following the ratification of the 17th Amendment to the Constitution — which provided for the direct election of Senators. In 1948, the Committee reorganized and was renamed the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
