Congressman Charles B. Rangel and Ambassador Se-joo Son, South Korean Consul General in New York, joined together in applauding and wishing the students at Harlem's Democracy Prep Public Schools (DPPS) well in their upcoming trip to Korea. Approximately 40 students will be traveling to Korea from November 8 to 21, as part of a cultural exchange initiative.
"I am thankful to receive this recognition for my work on behalf of our youngest generation," said Rangel. "The decisions we make now determine their future of possibilities and leaving a better world for them is my top priority."
“Our cancer centers provide the best care in the world to cancer patients and the healthcare law has continued to improve the care that they receive," said Rangel, the sponsor of the Affordable Care Act. "The proposed Medicare cuts to radiation oncology payments would have reversed the progress that we have achieved and would have been unacceptable.”
“Bullying Prevention Month is a time that we take to raise awareness of bullying and what can be done to prevent it. We must work together to end all types of bullying as it can have devastating effects on children and can even lead to suicide.
