Park Enforcement
Mission
The mission of the park enforcement office is to oversee the activities of all the parks within the City of Frederick. Our goal is to serve and protect the individuals who use these parks and insure the proper use of open areas to benefit the community.

The park enforcement agent is responsible for enforcing the laws and ordinances governing the City of Frederick’s park system. The mission is to oversee activities within the parks by serving and protecting individuals who use the parks. Proper usage of the park system is essential for peace and order and benefits all users. The park enforcement agent is charged with detecting violations and addressing violators in a fair, impartial, consistent, complete, and professional manner.

Ensuring Safety
The hope is to be pro-active in our approach to this position. Ensuring that all citizens can enjoy our parks safely is the priority. The jurisdiction of our agents include all park areas within the boundaries of the City of Frederick. The park enforcement agent possesses and exercises enforcement powers on all parklands within the boundaries of the City of Frederick.
