Reminder: When using ParkMobile time may be placed on the metered space in the same manner as coins. Time may be placed in 15 minute increments up to the 2 hour max and then vehicles must be moved after parking for the 2 hour limit.

Services
The City of Frederick’s Parking Department is responsible for the overall operation of the parking garages, parking meters and municipal lots in downtown Frederick. There are five parking garages. The parking garages have transitioned to EZ Exit automation. All garages are now automated. There is no longer a cashier at these facilities and instead payment is now made at pay stations located at each stairwell on the first level. Parking patrons must take their yellow ticket with them after they park in the garage and keep it with them until they return to the garage. Please keep the ticket in good shape and not bent or folded, and away from magnetic objects (i.e. cell phone, money clip).
Insert the ticket in one of the pay stations and follow the prompts to make payment and then take the prepaid ticket with you to insert in the express park ticket machine as you leave. These pay stations take cash, coin, and credit cards and you may also pay with a credit card in the drive lane if you wish to do so. Monthly payments may be dropped in a drop slot on the side of the booths in the garages or mailed to the Parking Office at 2 South Court Street, Frederick, MD 21701.
Projects
One project includes the operation of two municipal parking lots to include street parking spaces. The department is responsible for the collection and maintenance of 800 parking meters. Prepaid parking meter cards now available. If you live downtown and have family or friends visiting then you may want to purchase one of these prepaid parking meter cards. There is a one time cost of $5 for the card and it can be programmed in increments of $20, $30, $40 or $50 and can be used on all parking meters in the downtown area.
