The babies were born in the wake of the 7.1 magnitude earthquake which devastated the capital city Jan.12. Chaplain Rios, deployed from the 27th Special Operations Wing at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M., serves as the only chaplain to more than 1,500 military men and women encamped at the airport as part of Operation Unified Response. Known as the "Happy Chappy," Chaplain Rios ranges the airport day and night ministering to the needs of military and civilian alike, lifting their spirits and raising morale with each "Amen" she offers. A Charleston Air Force Base, S.C., C-17 Globemaster III airdrops approximately 14,000 bottles of water and 14,500 Meals, Ready to Eat Jan. 23, 2010, to the outlying area of Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
