Type of Facility


       Wm. Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center is a teaching hospital, providing a full range of patient care services, with state-of-the-art technology, education and research.  Comprehensive health care is provided through primary care, secondary and some tertiary care.  The Dorn VA Medical Center is part of the VA Southeast Network.

Affiliations


       Wm. Jennings Bryan VA Medical Cener is dedicated to educating future health care professionals.  Dorn VAMC has 77 affiliation agreements in 21 disciplines with 48 institutions including the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Palmetto Health Richland, Midlands Technical College, the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy, and the University of South Carolina College of Nursing.  The Dorn VA Medical Center provides training to approximately 725 trainees per year.  There are 50 resident and fellow positions, and approximately 165 residents/fellows who rotate through the VAMC annually.
