    All permits must be acquired PRIOR to beginning the work covered by the permit    .

     A Building Permit must be obtained when:

    (1) You desire to construct, enlarge, alter, or demolish a structure (Room additions, screen porch, garages, carports, etc.)

    (2) If you change the occupancy or use of a building or structure (Convert garage to family room, convert carport to garage, enclose screen porch with permanent windows, convert retail store to beauty salon, etc.)

     (3) To install or alter any equipment (Air conditioning, ventilation systems, electrical systems, plumbing and/or gas piping, furnaces, etc.)

    (4) Miscellaneous work (Sheds, fences, concrete patio slabs, extending or replacing driveways, wood decks, stucco, exterior doors, windows, etc.)
