Community Treatment Aide
Community Treatment Aide services include:
- Supervision and rehabilitation of child's basic personal care and daily activities
- Promoting improvement in the youth's social and relationship skills through education of the youth and caregiver
- Teaching the caregiver de-escalation and behavior management techniques
- Teaching and modeling the appropriate behavioral treatment interventions for the youth and caregiver
- Teaching the youth and caregiver appropriate coping skills to manage dysfunctional behavior
- Enhancing the therapist's treatment goals and objectives
Intensive Family Preservation (IFP) Services
IFP uses short-term, intensive interventions in family homes to stabilize
crisis situations and improve family functioning by improving:
- Parenting skills,
- Communication,
- Behavior management,
- Life skills, and
- Community engagement of supportive services
Parenting Time
Parenting Time services improve familial attachment between children,
their caregivers, and other participants by:
- Identifying issues that affect the familial relationship through observing
and assessing visits; and
- Contributing to better decision making by staff regarding permanency
plans for the child.
Many activities are conducted in the child's home, school or community,
including teaching or modeling parenting skills, reinforcing behavioral
management skills and teaching coping skills. The goal of Community
Treatment Aide services is to assist the family in accessing the appropriate
psychosocial support within the community.
