CATS’ mission is to provide safe, efficient, affordable, customer friendly community transportation to ensure mobility for the residents of Carroll County.
Anyone can use CATS. Persons who require any type of assistance to board, ride, and/or disembark must notify the dispatcher of their special needs when they schedule their transportation so that the proper vehicle can be scheduled.
Carroll Area Transit System (CATS) is a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation providing a specialized form of transportation service. Demand-Response is a shared ride, door to door, advanced reservation service offered on a space available basis and with driver assistance.
CATS transportation services can be used for any type of trip, including work, education, medical appointments, shopping, recreation and even social visits.

All CATS drivers are CPR, First Aid and Passenger Assistance trained professionals who provide safe, courteous, comfortable transportation regardless of your special needs.

Transportation Public Opinion Survey
Carroll County is currently conducting a Transit Development Plan. The purpose of this study is to develop a five-year plan for public transportation services intheCounty. An important task for this effort is to solicit input from residents concerning their transit needs. This survey is one method that is being used to obtain this important public input.
