The Airmen & Family Readiness Center (A&FRC) is the cornerstone of the Offutt AFB family support system, helping families and singles achieve readiness and enhance their quality of life. We provide consultation services to Commanders and assist them in developing and executing policies, programs and processes which enhance individual, family and community readiness, quality of life, and motivation to serve. The A&FRC helps support and maintain mission readiness by assisting individuals and families with adaptation to the challenges and demands of expeditionary operations and the military lifestyle. We offer proactive, preventive, and remedial services that foster self-sufficiency, sustain the personal and family readiness of the total force.  Services focus on proactive outreach, community readiness, and individual and family readiness.  We service DoD military and civilian personnel and families, to include Guard and Reserve, other eligible uniformed members, military retirees, eligible family members and annuitants.
Coping with Deployments, Reconnection Workshops, How We Can Help
Privileged Communication, the military chaplain has complete confidentiality.  Consequently, the chaplain may be the first person to contact to discuss highly sensitive and/or personal concerns. Contact the Chaplain for Spiritual Needs, Family Counseling, Personal Problems and Active Support.

We provide Fitness Classes and Consultations, Nutrition Classes and Consultation,Tobacco Cessation Program, Body Composition Measurements, Balanced Eating, Workout Effectively, Live Longer and Outreach Briefings on Wellness Topics.
Mental Health Services will help  you maximize your personal and professional performance while improving your relationships.
We provide primary education and training for the prevention of sexual assault. We Responds to victims of sexual assault, recruit, train, supervise and assign Victim Advocates to victims of sexual assault.

The Airman & Family Readiness Center is the cornerstone of the Offutt AFB family support system, helping families and singles achieve readiness and enhance their quality of life. All services are free.

There is a direct relationship between a member's ability to successfully accomplish a mission, and the quality of life his/her family experiences. Because of this relationship, many services are available to promote a positive family environment. The A&FRC also helps commanders and base leaders meet their responsibilities for the health and welfare of the Total Force.

The mission of the Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces is to provide humanitarian support to service members, veterans and their families around the clock, around the globe, under the same trusted symbol.

The American Red Cross provides emergency communications between the service members and their families during times of emergency, as well as access to financial assistance. The American Red Cross also offers training such as Coping with Deployment and Reconnection Workshops to help families before, during and after deployments. The Red Cross also offers opportunities to serve other by volunteering. All services are free.

SEXUAL ASSAULT RESPONSE VICTIM REPORTING OPTIONS
Restricted Reporting -- ensures medical care, treatment and counseling without notifying command or law enforcement officials. You keep the control, over the release of information regarding your case.
The Process: 
  • Contact SARC at (402) 232-9999 
  • Command is not notified 
  • SARC or Victim Advocate attends to victim needs--provides supportive services 
  • Victim can make unrestricted reporting decision at a later date

IF YOU HAVE BEEN ASSAULTED
If you have been sexually assaulted or think you have been: 
  • Go to a safe location away from the attacker.
  • Call 911 if you are in an emergency situation.
  • Contact your local Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC) Victim Advocate (VA) at (402) 232-9999, or healthcare provider.
  • Seek medical care as soon as possible. Even if you do not have any visible physical injuries, you may be at risk of becoming pregnant or acquiring a sexually transmitted disease.
  • Ask the healthcare provider to conduct a sexual assault forensic examination (SAFE) to preserve forensic evidence.
  • If you suspect you had been drugged, request that a urine sample be collected.
  • Preserve all evidence of the assault. Do not bathe, wash your hands or brush your teeth. Do not clean or straighten up the crime scene.
  • Write down, tape or record by any other means all the details you can recall about the assault and your assailant.
