Job Description
Family Permanency Specialist

Nebraska Families Collaborative is currently seeking enthusiastic, skilled individuals who have the heart and desire to help children and families. In the Family Permanency Specialist position you will assess and ensure child and youth safety, permanency, and well-being. You will conduct face-to-face visits with children, youth and families. You will also be responsible for implementing and monitoring the established safety plan as well as organize/facilitate family team meetings focused on safety, permanency, and well-being. Additional compensation for bilingual skills (Spanish speaking).

Nebraska Families Collaborative is a partnership which brings together the knowledge, expertise, and missions of Boys Town, Child Saving Institute, Heartland Family Service, Nebraska Family Support Network and OMNI Behavioral Health. Together these agencies share over 400 years experience caring for children and their families and have deep roots in the local community.

Requirements
Requirements:

•Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in the Human Services field and two years experience in case management services preferred. •Knowledge and the ability to apply the principles and practices of direct case management including assessment, analyzing critical information, plan development and implementation. •Familiarity with formal and informal services within Douglas and Sarpy County. •Must demonstrate capacity to provide case management activities, be knowledgeable of, and comply with, statutes and policies which affect target population. •Must successfully complete case management training and complete periodic retraining as required. Former CFS Specialists may complete a training waiver. •Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and meet required deadlines •Valid driver's license in good standing. •Must have valid auto liability insurance. •Ability to provide 24/7 on-call services to families on a rotational basis. •Willing to work flexible hours.
