The Anchorage forecast office produces graphic analyses of sea surface temperatures and sea ice as well as five day sea ice forecasts year round. Scheduled sea ice analyses and 5-day sea ice forecasts are produced Monday, Wednesday and Friday. A sea surface temperature chart of Alaskan waters is produced Tuesday and Thursday. Annotated satellite analyses of sea surface temperatures and sea ice are produced when clear skies allow these features to be observed.

SYNOPSIS...A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE NORTH OF BARROW WILL MOVE EAST
INTO THE BEAUFORT SEA TONIGHT AND OVER NORTHWEST CANADA FRIDAY. A LOW
IN THE EAST SIBERIAN SEA WILL MOVE INTO THE CHUKCHI SEA TONIGHT
CONTINUING EAST INTO THE BEAUFORT SEA FRIDAY AS IT WEAKENS. ANOTHER
SIBERIAN LOW WILL MOVE INTO THE CHUKCHI SEA SATURDAY CROSSING INTO
THE BEAUFORT SUNDAY AND REMAINING THROUGH MONDAY. HIGH PRESSURE WILL
DEVELOP OVER EASTERN SIBERIA THIS WEEKEND AND REMAIN THROUGH MONDAY.
