News: Son extends Oregon National Guard state command sergeant major

SALEM, Ore. - The Senior Enlisted Adviser to the Adjutant General, Oregon, Command Sgt. Maj. Brunk Conley, extended his enlistment in the Oregon National Guard at the Oregon Military Department’s Heritage Park, July 6, in Salem, Ore.
His son, Capt. Nick Conley, commander of Delta Company, 2 Battalion, 162 Infantry Regiment, administered the enlistment oath to his father in during the extension ceremony.
Brunk Conley has been in the Oregon National Guard for more than 20 years and is the highest ranking enlisted Soldier in the Oregon National Guard. He said he believes in the term Citizen Soldier and the role of the militia in the Constitution of the United States.
