Global Science Diplomacy
"[M]y administration is ramping up participation in—and our commitment to—international science and technology cooperation across the many areas where it is clearly in our interest to do so." - President Obama at the National Academy of Sciences, April 27, 2009
Following the President’s “call to partnership” with the Muslim world in Cairo last June, the United States began a series of activities to enhance science and technology collaboration around the globe, from Morocco to Malaysia. The program has drawn praise from foreign officials and dignitaries, academics, and researchers, for delivering on the President’s promise to engage with the Muslim world in meaningful ways, to meet the grand challenges we share today.
