Effective January 1st, 2006, the County of Lehigh no longer utilizes Tax Collectors as Agents to collect County real estate taxes. The Fiscal Office collects the County of Lehigh real estate tax. Payments may be made by mail in the return envelope provided with each bill, at the local branches of Wells Fargo Bank or in room 119 at the Government Center during office hours. The 2012 County real estate tax bills were mailed March 29th, 2012. For more information, please contact the Fiscal Office during office hours at 610-782-3112.
The Tax Claim Bureau collects delinquent real estate taxes (County, Borough, Township and School) in Lehigh County. Payments may be made in Room 119 at the Government Center during office hours, or by mail.
Tax Claim Bureau Sales
- Tax parcels subject to Upset sale will be posted starting approximately July 1st of each year.
- Advertising of parcels subject to Upset Sale will occur the last Friday of July for each year in the Morning Call newspaper and in the Lehigh Law Journal. Advertising will also occur the last week of July for each year in the East Penn Publishing Group Newspapers.
- IMPORTANT- To AVOID advertising, taxes subjecting property to the Upset Sale must be paid by June 30th of the current year.
