The Borough Business Revitalization Program (BBRP) seeks to assist participating communities in their efforts of providing economically healthy, vibrant, pedestrian- friendly, and aesthetically pleasing downtowns for their residents by promoting their events and providing technical assistance and financial resources on a regional level. The BBRP is a regional Main Street Program made up of local government officials, business owners, active citizens and paid staff from the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. It is a joint effort of Lehigh and Northampton Counties, the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the seven participating boroughs: Alburtis, Bangor, Bath, Catasauqua, Coopersburg, Hellertown and Pen Argyl.
Façade Grant Program
This is one of the BBRP’s signature projects. The façade grant program is a reimbursement based grant which awards business and residential property owners 50% of their project costs up to $5,000.00.
Over the past several years 74 projects were completed. The grant funds awarded were $236,800.00 while projects costs were over $605,500.00. This year's project is on track for producing similar results.
