Who can make a referral?

Permissive Reporter

Anyone at any time may make a report of suspected abuse

Mandated Reporter

One who has reasonable suspicion of abuse, based on medical, professional, or other training/experience and the child in question is under the care, guidance, supervision or training of an agency, institution, organization. The suspected perpetrator of the alleged abuse may be anyone.

 

How to make a referral:

If you are a Mandated reporter, you MUST immediately call ChildLine with CPS (Child Protective Service) suspicions - any abuse involving physical, sexual or mental abuse with a child who is under 18 years of age
