Philosophy

The Lehigh County Office of Children & Youth Services is committed to protecting children from abuse and neglect, maintaining children in their own home and community, ensuring access to community based services for parents experiencing difficulty in caring for their children, preserving and stabilizing family life, and assuring that children have a permanent home. 

This is accomplished by providing a variety of intervention, parenting and prevention programs that promote the safety and well being of the children of Lehigh County.

Lehigh County is dedicated to providing quality care to the children we serve by providing ongoing training opportunities to the staff and the community. The Office of Children and Youth also looks to our Advisory Board for recomendations of best practice standards in child welfare.
