Veterans Affairs

Philosophy
The Veterans Affairs Office is committed to serving Lehigh County veterans and their family members with compassion, dignity and respect. We are a customer-focused organization and believe that we are in debt to our veterans for their self-less service to keep our nation free. We will provide courteous, efficient and professional service to any veteran or family member seeking our assistance.

Program Description
The Veterans Affairs Office will assist veterans and their family members with information regarding
federal, state and local benefits. We provide information and assistance in filing for and acquiring the following federal benefits: compensation for service connected disability; pension for veterans unable to work; vocational rehabilitation and counseling; payment for education and job training; home loan guaranty; life insurance; "wheelchair homes"; and burial benefits. The benefits for family members of deceased veterans include dependency and indemnity compensation and death pension.

Military ID Cards - Wednesday, October 05, 2011

  

  

   Please be advised the Veterans Administration Will Not issue government-issued military ID cards for the purpose of discounts.  

 You must contact the organization and follow their protocol.  The County Veterans Affairs offices do not have any control over what organizations provide discounts to their veterans or their critera to obtain discount. 

 ID cards are only issued to active military, retired miltary and those  already enrolled and using the health care system.

 No ID cards will be issued for discounts.
