County Residential Collection Services
Overview
The County provides residential curbside refuse pick up and disposal services in 6 major districts; Central Maui (including Wailuku, Kahului and South Maui), Makawao (including Kula, Pukalani, Paia and Haiku), Lahaina (West Maui), Hana, Lanai and Molokai.
Curbside Collection of Recyclables and Greenwaste—3 Can Plan
Phase 1 of the
3 Can Plan, curbside collection of recyclables and greenwaste, will begin in select neighborhoods in South Maui beginning in mid
August, 2012. Residents will use three carts: one for rubbish, one for green waste, and one for mixed recyclables.
The Department of Environmental Management will use information gathered in Phase 1 as a planning tool to expand the 3 Can Plan to provide curbside collection of recyclables and greenwaste County-wide.
How to Apply
New Service
To open a Residential Solid Waste account, submit fee payment and completed
Residential Solid Waste Services Application to the service location in your area.

Fee and Payment Information
Residential collection service fees are $216 for a full year's service. Click here for

When Does My Service Start?
For applications received between the
1st and 15th of the month, new service will begin on the first scheduled pick-up day in the following month and for applications received between the
16th and the end of the month, new service will begin on the first scheduled pick-up day after the
15th of the following month.

How Do I Report Missed Pick-Up Service?
Missed refuse pickups may be due to cart not placed in an accessible location or not put out before 5:00 AM, cart overfull, or account not paid up to date. Click here to access
