5/20/2011 - COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AFNS) -- In a defense-heavy match-up, the Marine Corps defeated the Air Force 46-10 in the wheelchair basketball competition May 19 at the 2011 Warrior Games here.

This is the third loss for the Air Force wheelchair basketball team.

In the first half, both teams put up a strong defensive front allowing just a few points each. The Marine Corps managed 16 points in the first 20 minutes, while the Air Force only sank four baskets behind Marine Corps lines for eight points.

However, in the second half, the Marine Corps went on the offensive getting 15 baskets through. The Corps also stiffened their defenses, cementing their win by allowing just a single basket the entire second half.

In a replay of last year's championship brackets, the Air Force challenges the Navy for bronze May 20 in the finals while the Marine Corps will challenge the Army for gold.
