Maj. Gen. Asmatullah Dawlatzai, the commanding general with 707th Zone, Afghan Uniformed Police, addresses the newest graduates from the Afghan Small Arms Weapons Instructor Course and Literacy Course, here, Feb. 16. The instructor's course spans six weeks and has a mix of Afghan and Marine teachers. The course prepared the Afghans to return to their home units and instruct their soldiers on different weapon systems. The weapons systems varied from the 9 mm pistol to the AK-47 assault rifle.
