Navy facilities on Okinawa are not centrally located. Significant components are located on Kadena Air Base and at White Beach Port Facility.
On Kadena Air Base, we have the CFAO Headquarters, the Naval Munitions Command, the Fleet Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Detachment; Local Network Service Center, the Safety and MWR office and facilities, Public Works, Air Operations, and bachelor’s quarters.
White Beach Port Facility offers unique services to Seventh Fleet commands in the Western Pacific. White Beach is the primary embarkation port for the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and home to the Commander, Amphibious Ready Group, Seventh Fleet. CFAO provides fuel, food, parts and ordnance support to these embarkations.
Other Navy installations on the island are Camp Shields, Awase Communication Site, and Tengan Pier.
