Lawrence S. Kingsley, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is Deputy Director of Logistics, Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill. The Logistics Directorate provides policy and guidance to organize, train and equip aircraft maintenance, transportation, supply and logistics plans units at 14 major active air installations in the United States and 17 en-route locations around the world. With the Director, he is responsible for 860 active aircraft, 8,200 vehicles and 24,000 people. He also assists in the readiness of more than 616 aircraft and more than 80,000 people in the Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard, providing total force augmentation to support flexible, global reach for America.

Mr. Kingsley began his career in 1978 as a Minuteman II intercontinental ballistic missile combat crew member at Whiteman AFB, Mo. He then transitioned to his logistics career as a distinguished graduate from the Aircraft Maintenance Officer Course in 1983. Mr. Kingsley subsequently served in eight major commands. Throughout his career, he has held positions in missile operations, aircraft maintenance, munitions, logistics plans, installation support and supply chain management. While on active duty, Mr. Kingsley had the distinction of being a commander of six different training, logistics and maintenance units.

Mr. Kingsley has previously served as the Deputy Director, 542nd Combat Sustainment Wing, Robins AFB, Ga., where he supported the Director in leading the wholesale logistics efforts of more than 3,000 personnel and executing allocated funds in excess of $4.4 billion. Prior to his current assignment, he was a program manager with BAE Systems in Nashua, N.H. Mr. Kingsley was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in 2010.
