Maj. Gen. Martin M. Mazick is Vice Commander, Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Ga. He is responsible for the daily operations of the command, which employs about 76,100 Citizen Airmen and consists of more than 379 aircraft among three numbered air forces, 34 wings, three flying groups and 620 mission support units. Air Force Reserve Command supports the Air Force mission to defend the United States through control and exploitation of air and space by supporting global engagement. AFRC plays an integral role in the day-to-day Air Force mission.
General Mazick hails from Fanwood, N.J., and graduated from Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains, N.J. He entered the U. S. Air Force in 1972 as a graduate of the Rutgers University ROTC program.
General Mazick is a command pilot, having flown more than 8,700 hours in airlift, airdrop and air refueling missions. He is an Air Reserve Technician, which is a full-time, federal civil service employee serving in a selected position within a military unit. He was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in 2003.
