Youthplex Building The Youthplex on main post, which houses the Middle School and Teen (MS&T) programs, has a game room with billiards, computer lab, weight room, Fit Tech room, music room, lounge with big screen TV, a video library, teen patio and playground, arts and crafts activities, and a skateboard park, along with a full-use gym for a variety of activities.

Youthplex Building MYAC is a top quality neighborhood middle school and teen center.  It is located between Milam Elementary School and Biggs Park on Haan Road.  It is equipped with a Youth Technology Lab, Project Activity Room, Great Room with small stage also referred to as a Guitar Center, full size Gymnasium, Climbing Wall, Culinary Arts Center, Staff/Training Room and an outdoor area with basketball, billiards and lounge chairs.  Upgrades to the center since opening include a garden, garage band practice area and a fitness/training area. Eligibility: Young people, who are in the 6th through the 12th grade as of the first day of school, who are dependents of Active Duty Military, Military Retirees, Reservists, National Guard, and Civilian Employees to Fort Bliss. Transition from SAS to MS&T takes place on the first day of school.

We are happy to welcome you and your youth into our MS&T program. It is the mission of Fort Bliss Child, Youth and School Services to provide a quality program that meets the needs of youths, parents, to support the military life style, promote character values and reduce conflicts between parental responsibilities and unit mission requirements.

CYSS REGISTRATION: CYSS Parent Central Services (PC) is located at building 1743 on Victory Road, 568-4374. Before using the Middle School and Teen Programs or facilities, a registration packet must be completed. Annual registration is now free. Packets for registration may be picked up at either Middle School and Teen program or PC. Parents are asked to update files anytime information changes (i.e. phone number changes, emergency designee moves, etc.).

CAFE: Cultural Awareness For Everyone
C.A.F.E. (Cultural Awareness for Everyone) is a new program designed to encourage community awareness for all Fort Bliss teens. C.A.F.E. provides teens the opportunity to learn about the culture on - and off - post. Make new friends, explore the sights, taste the food and enjoy the sounds of El Paso. These Saturday tours run from 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and are open to sixth through 12th graders. Upcoming tour dates include March 31.

Programs: 

In the Middle School and Teen programs we offer programs that enhance self-esteem, promote a healthy lifestyle, and encourage good citizenship while providing a time and place for social interaction.

  • Youth Sponsorship Program: This program is for incoming youth who will be matched and teamed up with a sponsor to help show them the ropes, navigate and familiarize themselves with the facility, its programs and activities.

  • CYS Tech Lab: Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Youth Service's technology lab provides access to computers and a variety of educational software. CYS staff monitors usage for appropriate material. Tech Center participants have the chance to participate in both hands-on-enrichment projects and structured computer activities.
  • FIT TECH:  EVERY MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY 3:30-4:30.  A Mixture of FINESS and TECHNOLOGY.  Kids EXERCISE while playing VIDEO GAMES.  Gamebikes, Spin Bike Program, Stairsteppers, Dance Dance Revolution mats, XBOX 360 KINECT. 
  • ZUMBA:  Every Wednesday from 4:30-5:30 PM.  Our CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR, Kayla Pecastaing, Takes the Students through an exciting dance exercise workout that everyone enjoys.  Fun Music and great exercise for everyone.
  • YOGA:  Every Tuesday from 4:30-5:30 PM.  Our CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR, Christine Guiffra, Takes the students in to a time of meditation, stretching, Yoga Posses to cleans the Mind, Body and Soul. 
  • HOP SPORTS:  Every Wednesday 3:30-4:30 PM.  This NEW and INNOVATIVE program will get the students HOPING.  Each day will start out with a 5 minute warm-up, then move on to a 10-15 minute Cardio/Weight training Circuit, to be followed 10-15 minutes of the students learning a SKILL.  The skills learning section can be anything from DANCE, BASKETBALL, CHEER, JUDO, and even Drawing ECT.
  • Power Hour: Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Power Hour is the Boys and Girls Club of America homework center component of Child, Youth and School Services. Students can earn points to select prizes for the amount of work they've done.
  • Keystone Club: Fridays from 4:45-5:30 p.m. This club provides young people in grades 9th through 12th with opportunities for growth and recognition. The club performs community service, recreation activities and more.
  • Torch Club: Firdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. A club offering services and leadership to youth ages 11 to 13. Torch club members elect officers and work together to plan activities.
  • Cooking Club: Tuesdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m. This club is for youths who want to learn about quick healthy foods and the value of nutrition.
  • Photography Club: Mondays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Through various aspects of photography, members express themselves creatively and learn skills that build confidence and self-esteem.
  • Club Tech: Monday - Thursday 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. This club covers all the BGCA Digital Arts Suite (Photo Tech, Music Tech, Movie Tech, Design Tech and Web Tech). A great program for learning new skills and how to use them on the computer. Club Tech also covers MindStorm Robotics and Computer Animation.
  • Drama Club: Mondays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. If you are considering a career in the theater arts or just like to write plays and have fun consider joining our drama club.
  • Fine Arts: Thursdays from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. Participants will use various art mediums in drawing and painting.
  • Sports and Recreation: Wednesdays from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. This club will experience sports and recreation activities from basketball to tennis.
  • Arts and Crafts: Every Wednesday from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. come join the fun of crafting. Participants are exposed to various craft mediums such as leather, pewter, wood, clay, plaster, and many other types of crafts.
  • Field Trips: Field trips offer a unique opportunity for Youth to explore and experience culture and communities of this area. Popular field trip destinations have included theaters, bowling, paintball, corn maize, Adventure Zone, swimming, Bobo's Family Fun Center, Carlsbad Caverns, and many other places. Off post trips require written parent permission. Costs will vary. As always parents are welcome to volunteer for chaperone duty. Current list of trips or special events are on the monthly calendar.
  • Home Schooled Youths: Fridays 1:00 to 2:30. Come join us during this time frame for fun. Many options will be available each week from Arts & Crafts to Sports & Recreation to Science & Technology.
  • FULL SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM FOR YOU STUDENT! 

    We offer 3 Camps per week.  One Educational Camp, One Instructional Camp, One Activity/Sports Camp.
