Joint Operational Access Exercise 13-01 performed at Fort Bragg/ Pope Army Air Field, North Carolina and Fort Polk, Louisiana during 10/09/2012 till 10/15/2012. JOAX is a two week exercise to prepare the US Army and Air Force to respond to worldwide crisis and contingencies. The joint effort includes the United States Army, Air Force, and others. It tests the capabilities of the military to tactfully insert troops and cargo onto a drop zone and protect from mock enemy fire. The first week is scheduled as the mock airfield Airborne attack while the second week ( Large Package Week) is scheduled as mock heavy and personnel drops. Stringer includes : C-17 aircrew with the 16th Airlift Squadron, 437th Airlift Wing, JB Charleston, SC perform a Heavy and Personnel Drop onto Fort Polk, LA Dropzone for JOAX Operation. Army personnel walked off aircraft at Alexandria, LA due to the drop zone being closed because of an incident. Available in high definition.
