Ambassador Kirk traveled to Colorado on July 18-19, where he highlighted the importance of global trade in creating and supporting jobs across the Centennial State.

On Sunday, Ambassador Kirk participated in the U.S. - Brazil CEO Forum, where U.S. and Brazilian business leaders met to discuss the economic and commercial ties between their countries. Ambassador Kirk praised the U.S. - Brazil trade relationship and encouraged the continuation of dialogue and cooperation between the two nations.

On Monday morning, Ambassador Kirk met with U.S. Congressional Representatives for breakfast at Dixon’s Downtown Grill. Ambassador Kirk was introduced by U.S. Representative and Chief Deputy Whip Diana Degette (D-CO) and gave remarks on trade and exports in Colorado. During the breakfast, the group discussed topics ranging from technology and service exports in Colorado, to U.S. trade agreements, such as the U.S. - Korea Trade Agreement, the U.S.-Columbia Trade Agreement and the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

Following the breakfast, Ambassador Kirk participated in a Korea Roundtable at the World Trade Center, where he led a discussion on the U.S. - Korea Trade Agreement and what it means for creating jobs in Colorado. On Monday afternoon, Ambassador Kirk met with local minority business leaders and attorneys to discuss opportunities for minority-owned businesses to grow exports and create more well-paying jobs in Denver.
