ERIC Summarizes 2011 Collection Growth

ERIC is pleased to report the following statistics related to collection growth in 2011.

Between January 1 and December 31, 2011, ERIC added:

• 38,774 journal articles
• 12,843 documents and books

ERIC indexes 1,172 journals, and documents and books come from 952 sources, including:

• 111 federal agencies
• 763 associations, organizations, state or local agencies, centers, and programs
• 78 book publishers

In addition, hundreds of individual authors contributed their works to ERIC through online submission during the year.

At the end of 2011, the complete collection encompassed 1,427,174 records, including 341,323 with attached full text. ERIC searchers may find additional full text by following the Find in a Library and Publisher's website links within the record.
