The NATO SPS Series publishes the results of Advanced Study Institutes (ASI), Advanced Research Workshops (ARW) and selected Advanced Training Courses (ATC) funded under the SPS Programme. The content of the volumes in the series reflects the opinions of participants and contributors only; the volumes should not be regarded as reflecting NATO views or policy.

The series is published by IOS Press, Amsterdam (NL), and Springer Science and Business Media, Dordrecht (NL), in conjunction with the Science for Peace and Security Section of the NATO Emerging Security Challenges Division. The publishers' web sites generally provide contents and abstracts of the volumes, as well as volume prices and how to order.
