NATO Secretary General, Dr. Javier Solana, to visit the United States The Secretary General of NATO, Dr. Javier Solana, will visit the United States from 15 to 16 July 1998. During his visit the Secretary General will have meetings with the Secretary of State, Ms. Madeleine Albright, the Secretary of Defense, Mr. William Cohen, the National Security Adviser, Mr. Samuel Berger, the Deputy Secretary of State, Mr. Strobe Talbott and other senior administration officials. On Thursday, 16 July at 09.00 a.m. Dr. Solana will speak at a Newsmaker Breakfast at the National Press Club in Washington. The Secretary General's schedule is subject to change.
