PSSU Seattle
Newly
Reporting Members
During normal work hours (Mon-Fri 0630-1530), members should report in
the proper uniform of the day to PSSU Seattle Personnel Services Branch
located on the third floor of building 1, room 310. After hours, members
must report to the PSSU's Command Duty Officer (CDO) at the PSSU's Basic
Enlisted Quarters (BEQ). Members reporting to the CDO are required to
report to the PSSU Personnel Services Branch on the next business day in
the proper uniform of the day. During your stay at the PSSU, it is
highly recommend that you take the opportunity to familiarize yourself
with all that the city of Seattle, and the surrounding area, have to
offer.
Temporary Duty
Members of other commands who are issued temporary orders to PSSU by
their permanent unit are to report immediately to the PSSU's Personnel
Services Branch for check-in to the PSSU. Members are assigned to work
at PSSU Seattle or at one of the other tenant commands of the PSSU
Seattle complex. Members are normally assigned to work in positions that
fit their rating and pay-grade.

TDY members must be prepared to leave at a moments notice. Sometimes
cutters schedules can change quickly depending upon there current
mission. It is best to be prepared to leave quickly so keep a bag ready
to go. PSSU does not normally provide transportation to the airport
unless it is extremely short notice or a group of people (6 or more),
when traveling on official orders, you are reimbursed for any expenses
incurred while traveling when you submit your travel claim. The use of
the airport taxi service "Shuttle Express" or other local taxi services,
will normally costs between $30.00 to $40.00.
Note: Permanent Staff members
of the PSSU must notify their chain-of-command of their intentions to
depart. Our staff will endorse the orders, communicate with the underway
unit that their shipmate has arrived, make travel arrangements as
applicable, update DEERS/RAPIDS database, CG POV Decal database, and
enter any entitlements into direct-access. Unfortunately our BEQ cannot
accommodate families, temporary lodging can be found at Fort Lewis, the
Navy Lodge at Smokey Point or a local hotel.
