Having trusted information on how to deal with these challenges can make the difference between stress and success. Military Installations View articles, photos, major unit listings and contacts for programs and services worldwide. Enter USCG and you will see the units available. While on the site check out 'Plan My Move' which will walk you through  the moving process with checklist and calendars. If there is no USCG installation just search for any service installation close to you.

Military.com has recently added a relocation resource to assist active duty, veteran, and retired military personnel with their moves. The free resource includes a broad range of relocation information including DITY checklists, information on pet transportation, PCS processes, shipping procedures, and more. In addition, the resource lists companies that offer relocation discounts for the military community. For more information, visit:

Operation Military Move is a free service provided to relocating military families. They will provide you with a packet of information on your destination of interest, including community profiles, demographics, schools, etc.

State Information. Get local listings: weather, local sports scores, yellow pages, white pages, maps, classifieds, message boards, chat, movie listings, and web sites in the area where you are moving or considering.

There are three great sites for city information. CitySearch.com and USA City Link. These two sites have great information and links to help you find out more information on virtually any city in the world.

Defense Travel Management Office This site is the DoD Center for Travel Excellence provides the VHA, Per Diem and COLA Rates worldwide.

The ASVAB Career Exploration Program  is a career planning and exploration program that combines a multiple-aptitude test with an interest self-assessment and a wide range of career exploration tools. And it's FREE to participating schools

The HomeFair is a site whose mission is to give you the information you need to keep more of your own money when you relocate. Lots of great information (articles, various calculators, charts and services) on mortgage finance resources, insurance rates (home and auto), apartments, moving costs, and deciding where to live (school info, crime rates, etc).

The site links the 1,800 state Employment Service office and provides job seekers with the largest pool of active job opportunities available anywhere. For employers is provides rapid, national exposure for job openings. The nationwide listing in America's Job Bank contain information on approximately 250,000 jobs.
