Pharmacy
HSWL Seattle
The Pharmacy is open from 0645-1100 and 1230-1430 Monday through Thursday and from 0645-1100 on Friday. The pharmacy will be closed the first Thursday of every month until 1000 for All Hands Training. The Regional Pharmacist, CAPT Kaime, is available to answer all of your medication questions and concerns. She can be reached at (206) 217-6434.
Nonprescription Drug Program:
The pharmacy nonprescription drug program, also known as the over-the-counter program, is designed to allow pharmacy eligible beneficiaries to obtain over-the-counter medications for a minor illness or condition without seeing a health care provider. This program is designed to allow for self treatment. Items available are limited to those specifically identified in the nonprescription medical program section of the Coast Guard "Core" pharmacy formulary. If after self-medicating, you do not feel better in 48 hours, you should seek medical attention through your Primary Care Manager.
In order to receive this benefit, fill out the Pharmacy OTC order form completely, including your signature. Deliver the form to the HSWL Seattle Pharmacy in person or have a shipmate deliver it. You or your shipmate may pick up the medications. You are authorized two items per family per week. Exceptions to this are entertained on a case by case basis. Special requests, questions or concerns should be presented to the Pharmacy.
Prescription Refills:
Medication refills must be made in person at the pharmacy window.
A Patient's ID card must be presented at the time of pick-up. This is mandatory unless the patient is under 10 years of age. Your old prescription containers provide a reference point, and will speed up service. It can also help solve problems. Please bring your empty containers to the Pharmacy when you pick-up your medication.
