This week, the NTSB hosted 80 communications professionals from airports, airlines, manufacturers and government agencies from 12 countries at its training center in Ashburn, VA. The two-day training course provided guidance to employees who, in the event of an aviation disaster, would need to provide a steady flow of accurate information to media outlets, the public and other airport, federal or local authorities. During the course, Public Affairs Specialist Peter Knudson led a discussion about what to expect in the days immediately following an aviation accident.
