  Camp Zama kicks off Red Ribbon Week

  Nearly 40 works of art by students from Arnn Elementary School, Zama Middle School and Zama American High School were exhibited during the Red Ribbon Week Art Contest.

CAMP ZAMA, Japan (Oct. 23, 2012) -- A Red Ribbon Week Art Contest, hosted by the Army Substance Abuse Program office on Camp Zama, was held at the Camp Zama Community Activity Center Oct. 23.

Nearly 40 works of art by students from Arnn Elementary School, Zama Middle School and Zama High School were put on exhibit to be judged by Soldiers, Civilians and Family members.

The winner of the contest will be announced in November.

The Red Ribbon Week Campaign is conducted on Camp Zama from Oct. 23 to 31. The annual campaign's goal is to educate community members, especially children and adolescents, on the dangers of drug and alcohol use and to provide healthy alternatives to such behavior.
