Ambassador Kirk traveled to New Jersey and New York on October 21-22 to discuss the American jobs created by international trade. During the trip, Ambassador Kirk held meetings with elected officials, small business owners and executives to answer their questions. He focused on the Obama Administration’s efforts to expand opportunities for American companies to export to consumers overseas.

On Wednesday, Ambassador Kirk met with New Jersey Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno and local business leaders in Newark. He also held a roundtable discussion with Latino business owners to discuss opportunities for small businesses to sell more products and services around the world.

On Thursday, Ambassador Kirk met with executives and made remarks at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York City. He highlighted USTR’s work to enforce U.S. trade agreements and support well-paying jobs for Americans here at home.
