Division of Equal Opportunity Development (DEOD)

The Division of Equal Opportunity Development operates under the direction of the Commissioner of Labor. The mission of the Division of Equal Opportunity Development is to:

  • Develop and administer programs for
    • Affirmative Action
    • Equal Employment Opportunity
  • Promote Equal Opportunity
  • Ensure there is no discrimination in Labor Department policies and practices, both:
    • Internal
    • External
  • Administer the Minority and Women's Business Enterprise Program

Where are we located

The Division of Equal Opportunity Development monitors both State and Federal programs. We have offices and staff located in:

  • Federal Workforce Investment Act monitoring and audits of One-Stop Centers
