Windowsintowonderland.org - Windows into Wonderland is the name of the web section intended for use by teachers in their classrooms and for home-schooling parents. It offers numerous online field trips which help students learn concepts related to Yellowstone as well as to enhance their math, science, reading, and vocabulary skills. Each eTrip includes lesson plans that can be used before or after taking the field trip to enhance the learning experience.

Plan a Yellowstone Field Trip

  • Bring your students to Yellowstone for an educational experience of a lifetime. Park Rangers may be able to offer free ranger-led activities for organized groups such as K-12 school groups visiting the park. Contact us for information about the programs and to schedule a free ranger program at least 3 weeks in advance of your field trip to Yellowstone. Please email the Education Office or call 307-344-2318.
  • Apply for an Academic Entrance Fee Waiver.

Bison in Yellowstone.

There are more people hurt by bison than by bears each year in Yellowstone. Park regulations state that visitors must stay at least 25 yards away from bison or elk and 100 yards away from bears.
