reliable financial information enabling efficient and effective decision making by Department of Defense managers in the execution of their duties as responsible stewards of the public trust.

Goals

Implement a strategy migrating legacy systems into DOD Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA) for the Air Force, U.S. Transportation Command, and Defense Finance and Accounting Service centers.
Improve financial management visibility.
Promote development of DOD-wide financial management solutions and processes.
Establish cost management and performance measurement capabilities at optimum levels.
Provide for full compliance with Chief Financial Officers Act (CFO) of 1990 and Government Management Reform Act requirements.
